I. Anti-Ragging Prohibition Committee
 
A. Meaning of Ragging:-

Ragging means display of disorderly conduct, doing of any act which causes or is likely to cause physical or psychological harm or raise apprehension or fear or shame or embarrassment to a student in any educational institution; and includes - a) teasing, abusing, threatening or playing practical jokes on or causing hurt to such students; or b) asking a student to do any act or perform something which such student will not, in the ordinary course, willingly do.

 

B. Punishment:-

'Ragging within or outside the College premises is totally prohibited. If the student is found to be involved in Ragging, he will be expelled from the College/Institution. Such student will be prosecuted under the Maharashtra Prohibition of Ragging Act, 1999 and if also be liable to fine which may extend to Rs.10,000/-.

II. Sexual Harassment Prohibition Committee (2008-09)

A Sexual Harassment Prohibition Committee was established in 2005 as per the guidelines of Shivaji University, Kolhapur. In the case of any complaint of sexual harassment, any female candidate may lodge her complaint with this Committee or with the Principal.
